Michelle Dee held the title of Miss World Philippines 2019 before competing in Miss Universe Philippines. She even made it to the Top 12 in the international pageant. Despite being the daughter of Miss International 1979 Melanie Marquez and cousin of Reina Hispanoamericana 2017 Winwyn Marquez, Michelle did not initially show much interest in pageantry.
