Lucas went missing while out fishing with his family. Last seen wearing a white shirt with black sleeves, black pants and black Converse shoes; Three feet in height and 60 pounds respectively with brown hair and eyes.

Dayton Fire Department officials announced today that after four days of searching, Lucas’ search has evolved from rescue to recovery operations. Search units deployed multiple boats to check waterways and riverbanks while crews used thermal imaging devices, underwater drones, SONAR devices to search for Lucas.

As of Tuesday morning, Dayton fire Captain Brad French has stated that no formal water searches are planned; however, five personnel may operate under limited capacity to support other organizations searching for the boy.

Lucas’ sister reported that while playing near them and their father, Lucas left to join other family members so he wouldn’t scare the fish away from playing nearby. At some point after this occurred, someone heard a splash and someone crying before hearing someone call for Lucas and searching for him for 15 minutes before calling the police.
