Shy Glizzy and Her Affiliate in the Taliban Glizzy Arrested for Weapons Charges

Taliban Glizzy, an associate of Washington DC-based rapper Shy Glizzy and member of his Taliban Glizzy gang was recently arrested by US Secret Service on December 12 on weapons charges.

Reports indicate he was charged with two counts of unlawful possession of weapon and illegal possession by a felon. Taliban has been under federal surveillance for over a year now and prosecutors allege he poses a danger to community safety; hence he should remain detained pending his trial.

Police discovered $17,000 cash, an Oyster Perpetual Rolex watch and diamond earrings in Taliban’s possession during his traffic stop that led to his arrest. Not for the first time either; last year he posted a picture from a Miami shooting range where he specialized in machine guns; in July DC Metro Police discovered two firearms linked to Lyft rides associated with Taliban.

Taliban was initially charged with attempted robbery in Prince George’s County, Maryland in 2011 before pleading guilty in January 2017 to two counts of possessing dangerous controlled substances.
Prosecutors allege he brought firearms onto a flight from Miami to DC last month, prompting the US Secret Service to issue an arrest warrant after verifying his identity.

Prosecutors have voiced concern regarding Taliban’s lyrics and videos featuring his Taliban moniker, believing they reveal potential for violence. Furthermore, according to their statement, his possession of weapons designed for maiming and killing suggests an extraordinary level of danger that cannot be mitigated through any restrictions or conditions.

The government maintains it has strong evidence against Taliban that indicates his risk to the community and suggests he poses an imminent flight risk. Prosecutors believe he poses an immediate danger.
