Hyundai Launches Ioniq 5 Electric Cars at Auto Expo 2023 in India

Hyundai, the vehicle manufacturer, debuted its latest electric car, the Hyundai Ioniq 5, at the Auto Expo 2023 event in India. The car is launched by ShahRukh Khan, customer of company from a long time. This is the second electric car from Hyundai, following the launch of the Kona Electric in the past. Bookings for the Ioniq 5 started last month, and the pricing was finally revealed at the event.

Hyundai Ioniq 5 Price and Booking Details

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 is priced at Tk 44 lakh 95 thousand (ex-showroom), and bookings started in December 2022 for a deposit of Rs 1 lakh. Customers can choose from three colors: Optic White, Gravity Gold Matte, and Midnight Black Pearl.

Design and Dimensions of the Hyundai Ioniq 5

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 has a retro-modern design with a mix of sharp lines. It features parametric pixel LED headlamps, auto-flush door handles, a clamshell bonnet, active aero alloy wheels, and parametric pixel LED taillights. The interior of the car is designed in a dark pebble gray color scheme, giving it a fresh look. The car measures 4635mm in length, 1890mm in width, and 1625mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3000mm.

Features of the Hyundai Ioniq 5

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 comes with a 12.3-inch digital cluster and touchscreen infotainment system that supports Android Auto and Apple Car Play. It features a Bose sound system, Hyundai BlueLink connected car technology, dual-zone climate control, and ventilated seats. Safety features of the car include 6 airbags, engine parking brake, ABS support with EBD, and disc brakes on all four wheels.

Driving Range of the Hyundai Ioniq 5

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 has a 72.6kWh battery that offers a driving range of up to 631 km (ARAI certified) on a full charge. The single PMS electric motor in the vehicle generates 214bhp of power and 350Nm of peak torque. The car can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in just 18 minutes using a 350kW DC charger, according to the company.
