Tata Unveils Avinya Concept at Auto Expo 2023

On Wednesday at Auto Expo 2023, Tata unveiled its Avinya concept vehicle and showcased their latest innovation in electric vehicle (EV) technology.

The Avinya Concept: Created specifically to accommodate Electric Vehicles

Tata Motors’ Avinya concept makes use of their Gen-3 EV platform, specifically created for electric vehicles. Boasting an eye-catching minimalistic interior and exterior design, setting it apart from traditional internal combustion engine (ICE) models. Furthermore, Tata claims its Avinya has an estimated range of 500 km on one charge, further expanding its viability as an EV option.

This concept takes its name from the Sanskrit word ‘abhinya,’ which translates to innovation. First introduced in mid-2022, this model represents Tata’s commitment to pushing boundaries in the rapidly developing EV market.

At first glance, it is apparent that the Avinya concept car is specifically tailored for electric vehicles (EVs). Both its front and rear overhangs are relatively short while its roof features a futuristic “floating” design to complete its futuristic appeal.

Ashok Leyland will make their mark at Auto Expo 2023 with their EiV22 electric bus model, set to become India’s first double decker bus and offering an expected range of up to 250 km. Furthermore, Hyundai Ioniq 6 and MG Motor’s MG6, as well as supercars like BYD Seal, Toyota Mirai, and Kia India Carnival MPV facelift will be showcased.
