UPI Facility: No Internet Required!
You can use the Unified Payment Interface (UPI) facility without internet.
The UPI facility can be accessed without internet. You can even pay your mobile bill via UPI without an internet connection. To do this, simply use the 123PAY UPI service.
The National Payments Corporation (NPCI) recently announced that the 123PAY power bill payment service is now available for more than 70 electricity boards. By using the 123PAY service and the Bharat Bill Payment System (BBPS), customers will be able to pay their electricity bills quickly and easily, with payment directly from their bank account.
Steps to Follow
According to NPCI’s press release, follow these steps to pay your electricity bill using 123PAY:
Call 080-4516-3666 or 6366 200 200 for electricity bill payment.
First-time users will need to register.
Choose the electricity bill payment option.
Enter the name of the electricity board where the payment is to be made.
Enter the consumer or customer number, along with any other details required.
You will then be informed of the outstanding bill amount.
Enter your UPI PIN for payment.
You can pay your electricity bill by calling ‘080 4516 3666’ or ‘6366 200 200’. The service is available in 10 regional Indian languages.
What is 123PAY UPI Service?
The 123PAY UPI provider for charateristic phones , has been launched by The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). Rolled out earlier this year by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), the 123PAY service allows feature phone users to make digital transactions. Users can use a sound-based system via phone, or a missed call on interactive voice response. The UPI PIN is a 4 to 6 digit code, generated when registering for the first time on a mobile app or IVR or any other channel.
