Stone Pelters Strike Vande Bharat Train Maintenance Work in Visakhapatnam Ahead of PM Modi’s Flag-Off
As India prepares to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi‘s historic launch of Vande Bharat train service on January 19, it has already been attacked with stone-pelters in Andhra Pradesh, with miscreants throwing stones during maintenance at Maripalem coach maintenance center.

One coach windshield was damaged during an attack that took place as the train traveled from Visakhapatnam railway station to its maintenance center after finishing its trial run. Railway Protection Force has registered a case and are investigating.
Vande Bharat Express trains have been targeted with stone pelters before. Similar attacks were reported from West Bengal where trains were attacked multiple times within nine days.
PM Modi to Launch Key Railway Projects in Telangana on January 19th
On January 19th, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to visit Telangana and inaugurate India’s eighth Vande Bharat train from Secunderabad Railway Station. Following this event, he will lay the foundation stone for modernizing Secunderabad Station which is estimated to cost approximately Rs 700 crore as well as start work doubling Secunderabad-Mahbubnagar railway line which could cost approximately Rs 1,231 crore.
