Bus Accident on Agra-Lucknow Expressway
An overturned bus on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway resulted in three passengers’ deaths and left over a dozen seriously injured on Sunday evening, near Bansuria village of Thathia police station at 11:30 pm amid dense fog that created hazardous conditions.
Bus Was Traveling From Delhi To Lucknow
Sleeper bus traveling from Delhi to Lucknow was caught up in heavy fog as it approached Thathia Police Station area. Driver was unable to see clearly and lost control, hitting divider. Subsequently, bus flipped and passengers fell onto one another, leading to both serious and minor injuries on both ends.
Eye Witnesses Recount the Accident
Some passengers on the bus were awake at the time of the crash and described their experience. Noticing thick fog, they predicted they wouldn’t reach Lucknow before morning; then suddenly their bus hit an oncoming truck and overturned, creating chaos and leading to three of its passengers passing away as a result of injuries sustained in the collision. They described still recovering from shock when they learned three people had perished due to their injuries.
